Notice is hereby given under Sections 464(3) (that a public hearing is prohibited) and 467 of the Local Government Act that the Strathcona Regional District will consider First, Second, and Third Reading and Final Adoption of Bylaw No. 648 during a regular Board meeting to take place in the SRD Boardroom at 990 Cedar Street, Campbell River BC commencing at 12:30pm on May 27, 2026.
Purpose: The bylaw, if adopted, would rezone the subject area from Residential One (R-1) to Village Peripheral Residential One (VPR-1) to facilitate two dwelling units
Subject Area: The subject area is land legally described as Lot 5, District Lot 8, Quadra Island, Sayward District, Plan 16216 as shown on Map 1 below.

Copies of the proposed bylaw and related information are available for inspection at the Strathcona Regional District (SRD) Customer Service Centre, located at 990 Cedar Street, Campbell River, between the hours of 8:30 a.m. and 4:30 p.m., Monday to Friday, from May 13 until 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday, May 26, 2026.
Signed written submissions may be delivered via post, by hand to the SRD Community Services Desk or electronically to planning@srd.ca no later than 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday, May 26, 2026, to be considered by the SRD Board.
