Land Use Applications & Forms
If you are contemplating a new development or re-development of an existing property, it is important to check the Official Community Plan and Zoning Bylaw for your area. Depending on the nature of your proposal, there may be different approval processes that apply. Please contact the planning department before you begin your application, to determine if your project requires other approvals.
Planning Procedures & Fees Bylaw No. 5
Application Process
The Strathcona Regional District (SRD) has moved to an efficient online system to apply for and track permit applications. In the Citywide application system, you can start an application, come back to finish it later and view updates on the status of your permit application.
Sign-up to get started on your application. Visit SRD's step-by-step guide for more information.
Next Steps
An SRD planner will review the application and advise if any required information is missing. Once the application is complete, an invoice will be generated through the SRD’s Citywide online system and sent by email (or provided as a hard copy), along with payment instructions.
If you are unable to submit a digital application for any reason, please see the PDF copies of forms below and contact the Planning Services Dept. at planning@srd.ca or 250-830-6718 for support.
