About SRD Parks Services

The Strathcona Regional District (SRD), in partnership with community groups, contractors and residents, proudly stewards a growing network of parks, trails, and community spaces located in some of the region’s most beautiful natural settings.

SRD Parks Services manages over 50 parks and over 40 kilometers of trails, protecting important environmental and cultural values while providing diverse recreational opportunities for people of all ages and abilities.  From forested hiking and mountain biking trails to peaceful seaside and riverside walks, our parks showcase the region’s rich natural landscapes. Whether you’re looking for quiet green space to relax or active recreation opportunities, SRD parks and facilities offer something for everyone.

  • Community Parks - provide accessible, multi-use spaces for everyday recreation and gathering.
  • Nature Parks - designed to protect sensitive ecosystems while offering low-impact recreational experiences.
  • Trails and Greenways - SRD maintains an extensive network of trails and greenways that connect communities and natural areas.
  • Beach Accesses - Public beach access points provide opportunities to enjoy the region’s coastline.
  • Wharves - offer access to the water for recreational and community use.
  • Boat Launches - provide convenient access to lakes, rivers, and coastal waters.
  • Community Halls - important gathering spaces that support local events and activities.

Enjoy and Respect - We encourage everyone to enjoy SRD parks, trails, and facilities responsibly and to help protect the natural environment for future generations.
