Zeballos
November 7, 2026 - Zeballos Flooding and Landslide Risk
UPDATE 3 | Nov. 7, 2026
There are no new developments to report at this time. However, we want to advise residents that both the Village of Zeballos and the Strathcona Regional District Emergency Operations Centres (EOCs) remain active this morning.
Teams monitored the situation throughout the night, and a geotechnical engineer is now on site conducting an assessment. We are also actively monitoring the forecasted heavy rainfall expected to begin later this morning and will continue to assess conditions as the weather system moves through the area.
We hope to have some initial findings from the geotechnical assessment to share later this afternoon. Further updates will be provided as information becomes available.
