Message from the Comox Strathcona Waste Management
Due to the unprecedented flooding, resulting in transportation challenges and limited access to end markets, Recycle BC has temporarily suspended the collection of some materials. What this means for us is:
Starting November 22, non-deposit glass bottles and jars and foam packaging (both white and coloured) will no longer be accepted at Recycle BC Depots. We are encouraging residents to be patient and hold on to their recyclables until the situation improves and pick-up resumes.
We are mindful that this service suspension may cause concerns within your communities. We will continue to monitor the situation and provide updates in the coming weeks.
