CONSTRUCTION UPDATE
CONSTRUCTION PERIOD
Pathway work will continue on July 29 & 30. Paving is expected to occur in August pending the contractor’s schedule.
PARK ACCESS RESTRICTIONS
The park will be closed during work hours, while the contractor is operating equipment on site. The park will be open on weekdays in the evenings, or when no work is occurring, and all day on weekends.
CONSTRUCTION HOURS
Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM.

Background
The SRD secured funding through the BC Tire Stewardship grant program, combined with Community Works Funds, to install two new accessible and inclusive play structures and poured-in-place rubber surfacing made from recycled BC tires at Mitlenatch Park in Electoral Area D. These upgrades will create safer, more accessible, and more inclusive play spaces for children and families while replacing aging playground equipment.
