November 7, 2026 - Maquinna Avenue Reopened for Essential Travel Only

The geotechnical engineer has completed their initial assessment, and we are awaiting the formal report.
In the interim, the geotechnical engineer has recommended that Maquinna Avenue can be reopened to vehicle traffic. However, stopping is strictly prohibited, as there continues to be a risk to public safety. Traffic control personnel will be stationed in the area to manage vehicle movement.
We ask that the public limit travel through this area and only use Maquinna Avenue if necessary.
Please note that the area remains under an Evacuation Order, and residents are not permitted to return at this time.
We anticipate receiving additional recommendations from the geotechnical engineer later this evening. Further updates will be provided as more information becomes available.
