On Saturday, October 17, 2026, residents of Campbell River, Electoral Area D (Oyster Bay–Buttle Lake) and Quadra Island will have an opportunity to vote on Bylaw No. 643.
WHAT IS BYLAW NO. 643?
The proposed bylaw would add Quadra Island as a participant in the Strathcona Gardens recreation facility service and establish a cost-sharing formula based on a percentage of each participating area's converted hospital assessments:
▪️ City of Campbell River – 100%
▪️ Electoral Area D – 90%
▪️ Quadra Island – 80%
These percentages apply only to the Strathcona Gardens service, not to a property's total tax bill.
