Area D Properties - Please bring your wood debris to the end of your driveway by 9:00 am on Monday, May 25, 2026.
The SRD encourages you to FireSmart your property by bringing your wood debris to the end of your driveway by 9:00 am on Monday May 25th, 2026. Chipping trucks will be in Area D starting May 25th until all piles have been serviced.
Want to keep your wood chips?
Tie a piece of flagging tape on your wood debris pile, and the chipper will create a pile on the ground for you. Note: this method may require you to do some clean-up/raking. All other woodchips will be placed at Maple Park (29 Anton Rd). Community members can take the wood chips on a first-come basis.
No registration is required. Let us know if your driveway is hard to locate.
Conditions
No rocks, no nails, no roots.
All "butt ends" of branches are pointed the same way so they can be fed efficiently into the chipper.
Tree trimmings must be under 16 cms in diameter and 10 m length max.
No invasive species such as Scotch Broom, English Holly, Giant Hogweed, and Knotweed.
The contractor reserves the right not to pick up any piles that they feel do not meet these rules.
Do not block traffic by piling debris on the road.
Any debris brought to the end of driveways after 9:00 am on Monday May 25th, may not be picked up.
