(Campbell River, BC) – The Strathcona Regional District (SRD) is inviting Electoral Area C residents to upcoming community events to learn more about the new Official Community Plan (OCP), see how community feedback has shaped its direction and review draft policy content.
Over the past two years, Area C residents have shared their ideas, priorities and concerns through open houses, community meetings, surveys, workbooks and other engagement opportunities. The SRD thanks everyone who has taken the time to participate and contribute to this important process.
Now, the SRD is bringing that work back to the community.
At the upcoming events, residents will have an opportunity to see how feedback received so far has been incorporated into the draft policy content and provide input on whether the proposed direction reflects the future Area C residents want for their communities.
Quadra Island Open Houses
The following open houses are drop-in events. Residents are welcome to stop by anytime during the scheduled hours:
- Tuesday, October 20, 2026 | 11:00 am – 6:00 pm

Outer Discovery Islands Community OCP Meeting
Residents are invited to attend a scheduled community meeting beginning at 1:00 pm:
- Wednesday, October 21, 2026 | 1:00 – 3:00 pm
Surge Narrows Bunkhouse
Residents are encouraged to come out, learn more about the new OCP and help confirm that the plan is heading in the right direction before the process moves forward.
