The dock and ramp at Hoskyn Channel Landing are being replaced to provide more moorage space and a safer facility for users.
The SRD has received notice from the contractor that replacement of the dock and ramp may begin as early as mid-March.
Anticipated construction timeline and restrictions: • Day 1 - removal of existing dock and ramp. • Day 2 and 3 - installation of new dock and ramp • Use of the dock and access to/from the shore will be restricted throughout the removal and installation process. • It may be possible to use the site for beach landings.
Suggested alternate access options during construction: • Heriot Bay and Granite Bay • Cars may need to be relocated to alternate locations ahead of time.
